San Sebastian – Live

I jump into the kitchen and shout to my housemates ‘San Sebastian what do you think of?!’ and their first response is ‘surfistas!’…and they’re exactly right…the surfers are what this beautiful city is famous for.

The sun, sea and surf culture is truly here and over the next few months I’ll try out the beaches and the surfing, all whilst attempting not to burn and end up looking like a lobster. I’ll try the local cuisine at the famous pintxo bars, local restaurants and pavement cafes, and I’ll let you in on a few hidden gems too.

I’ll explore the clash of Spanish and Basque heritage through the museums, cultural centres, architecture and people that live in this wonderful city, making every effort to improve my Spanish along the way with the energetic and encouraging teachers at the school in San Sebastian.
