Loving life (and work!) in Antibes, France
I just finished my work exchange program in Antibes, and oh, what an experience…
Living in Antibes feels like living in a painting: little coloured points on the left, the “Fort Carré’s” covered lights on the right: the best place to take a midnight swim! It is true, the night in Antibes is absolutely unique.
I came here for an exchange program with the school in Antibes. The exchange program consists of exchanging working hours for accommodation and French courses.
I experienced the commercial work environment in France, as well as the atmosphere of an international school. Also, my French has drastically improved!
I worked in the reservations office, and was accommodated in the Robert Soleau Residence, right in the city centre and 5 minutes away from the school.
In two days I will take the train back to Madrid, and now I am wondering if I will have enough space in my suitcase to bring back everything I bought here!
This has been a really memorable and successful experience for me. I will bring back many souvenirs, a knowledge of different cultures, a work experience, an advanced French level, and of course… friends, friends and more friends from the school.
To conclude, I just loved the cote d’Azur : Cannes, Nice, Cap d’Antibes, Saint Paul de Vence, Cagnes sur Mer, and “la mer, la lumière, l’envie de rire et de pleurer sans rien comprendre…”
