Winter Sun
Here in the UK we’ve been experiencing a heatwave for the last month or two, and it’s getting hard to remember a time when we couldn’t leave the house without a coat or an umbrella.
The bad news is that the chilly weather will eventually return. The good news is that we have plenty of winter destinations that will help you to maintain that sun-kissed glow!
For students studying French, our school in Le Gosier, Guadeloupe, is very popular during the months of December and January – in fact, it often books up completely at this time of year! If you are considering travelling during the winter months and fancy learning French in a fantastic Caribbean location, this is the option for you. Our school in Fort-de-France, Martinique, is also a great choice.
Our Spanish speakers are very much spoilt for choice – if you aren’t phased by long haul flights, anywhere in Latin America is likely to offer sunshine-filled days between November and February. Being in the Southern Hemisphere, countries like Peru and Bolivia experience their seasons ‘back-to-front’, meaning you can summer at home and winter abroad for double the sun! If you prefer to stay closer to home, the Canary Islands boast temperatures between late teens and early twenties during the winter months. We have schools in Lanzarote, Tenerife, and Gran Canaria, each offering a great range of courses for you to sink your teeth into.
Students learning Arabic should look to Dubai for the highest winter temperatures of the Arabic-language locations we offer, and for those wishing to improve their English, the obvious choice is any one of our schools in Australia (although Cape Town in South Africa and Fort Lauderdale in the US also offer great weather).
If you are interested in improving your grasp of other languages, we can offer Chinese, Czech, Dutch, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, or Russian during the winter as well. However, it’s unlikely you’ll get much use out of your swimsuit and sunglasses in Moscow in December!
