Your English lessons will take place on a private campus, where you will also be accommodated. Set in its own beautiful gardens, the school has 15 classrooms, a hall for plays and social gatherings, student common rooms, a dining room serving hot and cold food, an arts and crafts room, computers with free email and Internet access and an indoor basketball court. As well as all this, the school also has its own outdoor playing fields!
Courses in Bishop's Stortford
You will receive 20 English lessons per week, and will be taught by highly qualified native speakers, who are very experienced at teaching English as a foreign language to international students of this age group. You will be encouraged to speak English as much as possible during your course, to help you improve your confidence using the language on an everyday basis!
Accommodation
You will stay on-site in the school’s own residence, where you will share a bedroom with 2-5 of your fellow students. Boys and girls are housed in separate buildings, and members of the school’s staff will stay in the residences with you, to ensure your safety and to be available if ever you need any assistance. This accommodation is offered on a full board basis, and you will eat all your meals in the school’s own dining room. When out on full-day excursions, you will receive a packed lunch, and you will even be given a late-night snack (such as hot or cold milk, soft drinks, cake or cookies) before bedtime!
Supervision
This programme offers a very high level of supervision for students. All students taking this course stay in the on-site residence, and members of the school’s staff also stay on-site, to provide 24 hour supervision and care for students. Students are not permitted to leave the campus unless on a school activity or excursion, or when accompanied by a member of staff.
Activities
You will have five afternoon activities and seven evening activities per week. Examples of typical activities arranged include an orientation tour on the first day; sports such as football, badminton and swimming; arts and crafts such as charcoal sketching, T-shirt design, mask-making and circus workshops; and other activities such as a conversation club, British quiz and parties. The school also arranges two full-day excursions per week, to places such as Cambridge (to go punting or visit some of the historic colleges), Warwick Castle, London (to visit museums, go sight-seeing or take a trip down the Thames on a boat), Cadbury’s World and theme parks!

This course is suitable for students aged 10-14 years, who wish to take an English language course in a very safe, typically English location. This course provides students with a high level of supervision and security.

A two-way airport transfer is included in the course price for students arriving and departing from London Heathrow and Stansted Airports on Sunday (the arrival and departure day for this course).
