Go learn English in Liverpool!

I don’t know whether it is being cooped up in an office all day… or craving further challenges, self-improvement and a little more adventure… but I really wouldn’t mind a change! I have therefore decided to go to Liverpool with Apple Languages to study at their English school, attending a language course of my own. I expect to meet lots of lovely people, have a fun time and ultimately improve my English.

If you know me then you will know I am currently undertaking an Erasmus trainee-ship here at Apple Languages. I must admit that I had some reservations of being able to work in an English speaking office. I definitely had some language problems during my first two months here. Although, the help and support I have had from my colleagues has been great! I have also been able to use my Italian to help translate the website, and my love of literature and language to help run the Apple Languages Facebook account.

My level of English

I have been given some help translating this piece of text in to English😉 – I am still much better at telling stories in Italian! I only really had some previous knowledge of English from studying it at high school. When I was working towards my recent Italian literature degree I hardly ever needed it. Now, whilst I have a few months left in the UK, it’s the perfect time for me to take an English language course.

I can’t wait to get out the office and the train up to Liverpool to start my course. The British spring time was colder than I expected, but now we seem to finally be getting some summer sun. I will be blogging about my experience and will update you in a week or so!

I’ll be glad to share this experience, step by step, from the first moments, arriving at my accommodation, until the end leaving my new international and ‘Scouse’ friends behind. Keeping a blog post should be a great way for me to immortalise this trip. I will update everyone on my experience as soon as I am back. For you I hope it will provide an insight in to Apple Languages Courses, especially the English courses in Liverpool!
